Ron Goldstein and Todd Hayen are two of Hollywood's busiest orchestrators and arrangers. They have worked on a large variety of projects between them including the motion pictures "Wild Bill", "Storm of the Century", "Under Siege" and "Andersonville." Their television credits include "Animanics", "Pinky and The Brain", "Jonny Quest", "Sisters", and numerous other projects.
Todd and Ron have been friends since studying together at the Dick Grove School of Music in 1981 and have always had a love for the music of the Christmas season. Noel: A Christmas Celebration is their first collaborative effort and the result is music that truly comes from the heart. |

TODD HAYEN Todd was born into a theatrical family and began his early musical training listening to musical theatre scores various members of his family were performing. He began playing the piano when he was about ten picking out popular TV themes. Todd played trumpet in the high school band and it was here that he first stood in front of an ensemble as a conductor. Combining his early love for the theatre and film with his natural talents as a composer, Todd decided before entering college as a student of composition that he would devote his life to creating music for film. His formal education included composition, conducting and performance studies with prominent composers and artists at several distinquished universities including the Cincinnati College-Conservatory of Music and Shenandoah University Conservatory of Music. He arrived in Los Angeles in 1980 and immediately began composing and orchestrating for Hanna-Barbera Productions. From here his career flourished both as a conductor/orchestrator and as a composer. RON GOLDSTEIN A native of Southern California, Ron began playing the tuba in 8th grade, learned trombone and euphonium in high school, and earned his Bachelors degree at Cal State University, Northridge, where he arranged for the schools jazz and marching bands. Ron served as Musical Director for several years with Sitmar Cruises, playing piano and conducting the ships orchestra as well as writing for many of the on-board acts. Returning to academia, he earned the Master of Music degree at The University of Alabama, where he also met his wife, vocalist Laura Witcher. Several years in Florida followed as Ron studied and taught music theory at The Florida State University in Tallahassee. Following a year back at Alabama as a Visiting Assistant Professor, he returned to Los Angeles in 1994. He has since orchestrated on over 100 episodes of animated television shows as well as a number of films and TV specials. His live performance credits include arrangements and orchestrations for Disneyland and Disneyworld, Princess Cruises, and the Hollywood Bowl Orchestra. |
